UPTIGHT, the 2022 Cantiere delle Marche Darwin 106, is now available for the first time, setting a new standard in the explorer yacht segment. This custom Darwin 106, an evolution of the popular Darwin 102, features a unique aft cockpit designed for world-class fishing, enhanced water access, and additional lounging and storage space.
Exceptional Accommodations: Darwin 106 UPTIGHT offers luxurious accommodations for up to 13 guests across 6 cabins. The upper level is dedicated to the private owner’s suite, while the lower deck features 5 guest cabins, including a second master cabin that’s perfect for private or charter use.
Innovative Design: The main deck boasts an open floor plan, including a welcoming salon with a lounge area, formal dining, and a galley that can be separated or opened up to the salon. The galley, complete with a bar counter, is perfect for entertaining.
Crew Facilities: Substantial crew accommodations are located forward on the main deck, providing space for 6 crew members, complete with a crew mess for their comfort.
Interior Elegance: The interior decor is distinguished by meticulous attention to detail, featuring a harmonious blend of three types of wood, custom stainless steel work, and bespoke touches like leather headboards, backlit feature walls, and exquisite stone work in the galley. The design maximizes functionality and storage, including cold storage for extensive provisioning.

Striking Appearance: The Stars & Stripes Blue hull and purposeful design, created by Hydro Tec, enhance UPTIGHT’s robust profile and functional bow.
Cockpit Features: Ideal for fishing with live bait wells, additional refrigeration, and cold storage. The cockpit also provides easy water access, seating, and lounging areas, making it a central gathering place.
Bridge Deck: Equipped with advanced navigation systems expected on a 50m vessel, including a sitting area and office space for crew or guests.
Sundeck: A premier entertainment space with a Jacuzzi, sunpads, full bar with a propane BBQ, and a hardtop with a mast that complements the yacht’s design.
Technical Specifications: Darwin 106 UPTIGHT’s full displacement steel hull, complete with a bulbous bow and polar belt, is designed for trans-oceanic travel and polar navigation, reflecting its original intent to navigate the Northwest Passage.
Additional Features:
Storage and Maintenance: Extensive storage options in the lazarette and engine room, with easy access for maintenance. The engine room supports seamless upkeep with its layout.
Tender and Deck Use: Features a substantial Custoldi diesel jet tender, customized for beach landings, with a quick-fill station for convenience. The deck areas, including the second deck and bow, offer additional lounging and storage options, with custom sunshades available.
UPTIGHT is in pristine condition, having been meticulously maintained by a full-time crew. The hull and superstructure have been buffed and waxed every two months, ensuring she looks as pristine as the day she was launched. With just over 1,000 hours on the engines and 2,700 hours on the twin generators, she has been lightly used, having cruised the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Bahamas.
Darwin 106 UPTIGHT is commercially registered and Cayman flagged, and not available to US residents while in US waters. She will be displayed at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from October 30 – November 3.
